George is an international corporate and projects lawyer with a particular specialisation in the energy and natural resources sector. George is the founder of BoothLaw.

George has been in-house counsel at leading international energy companies and a partner at leading international law firms. He has worked in London, Dubai and Abu Dhabi and represents clients in transactions globally. He is regularly recommended in the Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 directories and the Guide to the World’s leading Energy and Natural Resource Lawyers.

George acts for entrepreneurs, SMEs, national and multinational companies and Governments. George is a commercially focussed, collaborative lawyer who enjoys supporting clients to achieve their goals in often challenging regulatory and risk environments.

Career highlights have included acting for the sponsor of the first cross border gas project in the Gulf, the developer of the largest natural gas discovery off shore India, the sponsor of one of the largest privately financed power projects in Saudi Arabia, the sponsor of a cross border oil production and pipeline project in Sub-Saharan Africa, the developers of three aluminium smelters in the Gulf, the purchaser of a significant interest in a Russian LNG project, and the purchaser of a substantial interest in a LNG Regasification terminal in UK. Outside of the energy space George enjoys acting for investors and entrepreneurs buying and selling companies and businesses, raising finance and entering into collaborative partnerships in UK.

In his spare time George is a keen tennis player and enjoys sailing and fitness training as well as walking the family dog and experiencing the many ups and downs of being a lifelong Leeds United supporter.
